When a call comes in while you're on the other line, you'll hear a "beep." As long as you have a phone with a Caller ID display, you can see who's calling. If you feel like answering, press the flash button or switch hook. To return to your previous call, just press that flash button or switch hook again.

To turn off Call Waiting:

1. Log on to your Vonage Online Account
2. Click on the "Features" link
3. In "Call Waiting," select the line you don't want Call Waiting with Caller ID on
4. Click on the "Configure" button
5. For "Call Waiting Status," select "Off." To turn off Call Waiting with Caller ID for a single call, just dial *70 before you dial the number
