Minimum PC Requirements for Vonage V-Phone

Vonage V-Phone can be used with any PC supporting the following minimum configuration:

  • 300 MHz Pentium-compatible processor or faster
  • Windows 2000 or Windows XP
  • USB port, version 1.1 or higher
  • Minimum RAM:

    Windows 2000 - 128 MB
    Windows XP - 256 MB

  • High-speed Broadband Internet access such as through a Cable or DSL modem

Note: Apple Macintosh and Linux operating systems are not currently supported.

Windows 98 and Windows ME are no longer supported as Microsoft has discontinued their support as part of the Microsoft Lifecycle Policy. Existing Vonage Help content, however, will continue to be available for anyone who may need self-service.

There are compatibility issues with the V-Phone and the Microsoft Windows Vista OS. Vonage is actively pursuing a resolution of this issue with Microsoft. In an effort to continue to provide support to our customers who have upgraded to the Windows Vista OS, Vonage has found a temporary solution that can be used until Microsoft provides a permanent fix for the problem. Using V-Phone with Microsoft Windows Vista provides complete instructions.
