Vonage Companion™ for Mac

Vonage Companion is completely customizable for your needs!

The main interface window consists of two sections: Call panel and Contacts & History panel. Leave the Contacts & History panel open or choose to hide it—you decide what works best for you! You can also minimize the Vonage Companion window and still receive calls!

Call Panel

Place or receive calls, transfer or hold calls, setup conference calls, or listen to your voicemail—this is where you go for all of your calling needs!

Contacts and History Panel

Organize, update, or access all of your Contact information within the My Contacts view. Check your call history log for any missed, received, or dialed calls by selecting the My History view.

What do I need to use Vonage Companion for Mac?

Mac Requirements:

Processor:

  • Minimum: Intel or PPC G5 1.5 GHz
  • Optimal: Intel

Memory:

  • Minimum: 128 MB RAM
  • Optimal: 256 MB RAM

Hard Disk Space: 60 MB

Operating system:

  • MAC OS 10.4.11 (Tiger) or higher, including Leopard and Snow Leopard*
    *We recommend running the latest security updates of the OS, although the Vonage Companion will run on all of 10.5 (Leopard) and 10.6 (Snow Leopard) flavors.
  • Optimal: Leopard

Connection: High speed broadband Internet connection (LAN, wireless)


Audio Device Requirements

Vonage Companion requires both speakers and a microphone to make calls. Based on the capabilities of your Mac any of the following configurations are acceptable:

  • Built-in speakers and microphone
  • External speakers and microphone
  • USB headset with microphone (preferred for optimal call quality)
  • Bluetooth® headset with microphone
  • USB phone

How do I install Vonage Companion on my Mac?

Vonage Companion is available to all customers with a Vonage Pro residential calling plan. Once you've signed up for Vonage Pro, click here to download and install Vonage Companion.
