< Did you hear the buzz at Dreamforce 2018? Both Vonage and NewVoiceMedia made a big splash at the annual user conference hosted by Salesforce.com. It was a busy week for Vonage in San Francisco between our bustling booth, with innovative product demos and awesome screen-printed swag, and meetings with analysts, customers and partners. Our team also participated in several speaking engagements including two panels featuring Chief Product Officer Omar Javaid, “The Great Telecom Debate: The War for Business Sector Attention,” and “Maximizing Market Share of the Telecom Business Sector” as well as a presentation in the Integration Zone called “WhatsApp, MuleSoft and Nexmo: Sending the Right Message on the Right Platform.” Missed out on the fun? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered…
Right before the conference began, we announced that Vonage had entered an agreement to acquire NewVoiceMedia, an industry-leading cloud contact center provider. Adding NewVoiceMedia to our team will make Vonage the largest, pure play, cloud communications company by revenue globally, with a comprehensive offering extending from unified communications to programmable communications and now to cloud contact center! Vonage and NewVoiceMedia both have a powerful vision to serve businesses with cloud communications that connect employees and enable personalized conversations with customers and prospects.
Once the deal is closed, NewVoiceMedia’s unique CRM strategy with deep integrations, especially into Salesforce.com, will provide Vonage with highly strategic go-to-market relationships and exciting new opportunities. In fact, NewVoiceMedia is one of only 50 AppExchange Premium partners of Salesforce.com --out of 50,000 total partners! -- so it was a thrill to share this news with the Salesforce community ahead of Dreamforce. We believe that together, Vonage and New Voice Media will have the power to make every conversation great, like those we each had with customers, prospects and partners throughout the Dreamforce event.
During the conference, we also announced that the Nexmo Communication API Connector, available on MuleSoft’s Anypoint Platform™, is now integrated with the WhatsApp Business solution. Through this solution, MuleSoft, now part of Salesforce after its acquisition earlier this year, is enabling customers to better manage conversations with their customers, drive customer loyalty, and provide useful information - whether notifications or customer service messages -- quickly and privately.
On the first day of Dreamforce, Michal Raz, VP of Global Partnerships for Nexmo, the Vonage API Platform, and Kevin Alwell from Vonage sales engineering, delivered a powerful demonstration of this solution. It was standing-room only in the Dreamforce Integration Zone for this presentation, which showed attendees how Mulesoft Anypoint customers can leverage the power of Nexmo APIs to simplify implementation of SMS opt-in to WhatsApp messaging, and easily create workflows that leverage Salesforce CRM customer records.
It will be hard to top the week we had, but we’re already looking forward to Dreamforce 2019! See you there!
