U.S. Federal Communications Commission's (FCC) One-to-One Consent Rule Update
January 2025
FCC Delay Order
On January 24, 2025, the FCC issued an Order postponing implementation of the new One-to-One Consent Rule, and the 11 Circuit Court struck down the FCC One-to-Consent Rule, stating that it was unconstitutional.
How this affects Vonage customers
The Wireless Telecommunication Operators have previously documented and required that proper Opt-In and Opt-Out procedures be met by Texters and Callers when communicating with their subscribers. This requirement does not change in the light of these new regulatory actions. All Vonage customers must follow the proper Opt-in and Opt-Out procedures as outlined by CTIA Messaging Best Practice Handbook.
