Vonage Awarded G-Cloud 12 Framework Agreement for Messages API

Vonage has been named as a supplier on Crown Commercial Service’s (CCS) G-Cloud framework for its Messages API, closely following its Vonage Business Communications and Vonage Contact Center solutions.

G-Cloud is a CCS procurement framework that enables UK public sector organizations to search, evaluate and procure cloud services from select suppliers. G-Cloud 12 went live in late September. CCS supports the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services. In 2019/20, CCS helped the public sector to achieve commercial benefits worth over £1bn, supporting world-class public services that offer best value for taxpayers.

Vonage is delighted to join the G-Cloud framework with the Vonage Messages API and that more public sector organizations will have access to Vonage solutions to help them transform how they engage with service users.

For example, Vonage API Partner Sngular and AI experts from the Government of Spain built the Hispabot-COVID19 conversational assistant to work through WhatsApp using the Vonage Messages API.

Using the Vonage Messages API, Sngular was able to easily integrate WhatsApp into its platform and enable millions of Spanish citizens to reach them in a way that is familiar to them in just three days. Following an order made by the Spanish Ministry of Health, the Hispabot tool was promoted by the Secretary of State for Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence, attached to the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation.
