Talking UC in the UK: Vonage at the 2019 UC Expo in London

During UC Expo, our team embodied this ideal as they spent time connecting with industry executives, consultants, analysts, and thought leaders from around the world, discussing the future of the UC industry, collaboration, intelligent technology, and more. Visitors to the Vonage booth were able to see first-hand the innovative communication experiences made possible by blurring the lines between unified communications, contact center solutions, and programmable communications via Nexmo, the Vonage API Platform.

Adding his thought leadership to the larger conversation, Simon Burckhardt, Vonage’s Managing Director for the UK, participated in two dynamic discussions during the Bytesize Panel: Future Trends panel and the UC The Year Ahead panel. During the Future Trends panel, the forward-looking conversation spanned from security to SD-WAN, from CPaaS to AI. Simon was able to demystify the potential of programmable communications, and how layering APIs on top of an existing business communications solution empowers businesses to build more meaningful, contextual customer experiences.

Moderated by Bill Haskins of Wainhouse Research and featuring leaders from ZK Research, Cisco, and Microsoft, the UC the Year Ahead panel was a lively, informative session on the keynote stage. Here, Simon shared Vonage’s laser-focused approach on user experience, noting that success hinges ultimately on creating better experiences both internally for employees and externally for customers.

Vonage SVP of Customer Success Chris Haggis gave a presentation on how Integrated Communications Power Great Experiences, detailing for attendees how their business can best leverage the new landscape of communications technology to better engage with their customers. When it comes to customer engagement, there’s been a gap between what enterprises and consumers require and what customer engagement providers offer. As information becomes more digital and accessible, there’s an opportunity for businesses to deliver more intelligent interactions through voice, text, and video across multiple channels.
