“I was proud to participate in our first virtual Vonage Developer Day. It's important that we find ways to continue to support our developer community during the global health crisis, when we are temporarily forced to work remotely. Thank you to the Vonage Platform and Developer Experience team and all of the presenters that helped put this event together,” said Jay Patel, Chief Product Officer at Vonage.

Throughout the day, the participants had an opportunity to socialize, gain technical skills from Vonage’s Platform and Developer Experience team (PDX) and interact with the wider community.

“I was delighted by the warm, open and friendly atmosphere throughout the day. You could certainly feel the community spirit and it was heart-warming to see everyone enjoying a day of learning together,” shares Olia Dukova, Global Head of Community at Vonage.

Vonage Developer Day was hosted virtually using video conferencing and chat, which enabled innovative socializing experiences between attendees and provided opportunities to connect in new ways.

Karo, a Vonage Developer Day attendee said “This event was marvelous! Diana Rodriguez , Python Advocate at Vonage, showed the power of using Flask and the importance of using everyday technologies to find the best stack for our projects.”

Another attendee, Mave, commented “Vonage Developer Day was awesome. Dwane Hammings, Javascript Developer Advocate  at Vonage, gave great advice to focus on knowing web components before learning web frameworks. He also provided some excellent resources!”

Attendees were encouraged to continue the conversation post-event by joining the Vonage Developer Community Slack. Find out more about Vonage’s Developer events and follow us on Twitter.
